Not withstanding the recent correction in the real estate prices, it is difficult for most middle class families to afford a house as big as they will need to live comfortably. The increase in the number of household items makes things worse. You need to be a genius to fit all items of your family in your house without making it look cluttered.
While visiting a friend recently, I came across a really smart way of getting more out of the same real estate place available to us. This smart idea is called an over the toilet cabinet. As can be seen in the picture, this is a closet-like cabinet that is placed right above the toilet.
What impressed me most, is the intelligent utilization of the space. Not only that, it creates an uncluttered array of things in the toilet area. Look at how the legs of the cabinet or closet have been designed to fit with the toilet itself. The cabinet and the toilet look like a pair and there is no inconvenience while using the toilet.
An over the toilet cabinet functions much like a traditional small closet and delivers a lot of value without utilizing any additional space. More importantly, it can transform your toilet into a part of the complete decor of your bathroom. You may get the most expensive toilet in the world, but it will be a toilet only. The closet cabinet diverts the attention away from the toilet and thereby increases the beauty and ambiance of your bathroom.
The over toilet cabin is superbly useful for storing daily use items. Your daily shop, oil, towel, sanitary napkin etc can be kept in an accessible point and be stored in an organized manner. It is just like using those closet organizers being used in many typical bedroom closets in one way or another. Lastly and most importantly, the toilet cabin at my friends’ place, was able to impress me simply because I was not expecting it there. An over the toilet cabinet may be the least expensive item in a bathroom area but it definitely adds that extra something to it while at the same time, keeping all the bathroom stuff organized in a simple way.
