Hi. My name is Lani. I’m a stay-at-home mother with 4 great kids (Kyle 11, Ryan 9, Lisa 6, and Randy 3) and a loving and down-to-earth husband of 14 years, Randolf. These individuals are my home, my life, my bliss, and my world. Without them, I couldn’t imagine how I’d live my life.
I’m originally from San Francisco but my family has been constantly moving because of my husband’s career as a software analyst. We’ve been through dozens of apartments and homes for rent in the areas of Brownsburg, Lakeland, Barstow, Las Vegas, Boston, St. Louis, South Carolina, Cincinnati, Phoenix, Orlando, Atlantic City, and Reno. It has been quite stressful moving around a lot especially for the kids. Fortunately though, we already got the hang of it and adjusted to the kind of life it brings. Someday, we hope to be able to settle down at a nice home we could call our own in a serene and quiet neighborhood.
My Enthusiasm with Closet Organizers and Other Closet Systems
Because we are always moving, even yearly in some cases, we’ve been through different apartment sizes and home interior setups. Some of these apartments and homes have closet storage spaces while some don’t have any. This is how my enthusiasm for closets, more particulary those in the economy and mid-range class, has been awakened. Honestly, I couldn’t believe that I had that enthusiasm in me. It just suddenly popped out from nowhere.
Honestly, I was hoping to try using some of the higher-end closet organizer systems but we couldn’t afford those with our current income and budget range. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be practical for us to use those even if we had some extra cash because our family is always on the move.
Luckily, some of my close friends and thoughtful relatives became aware of my enthusiasm for closets during conversations at gatherings and get-togethers. They’d even consult me plenty of matters pertaining to closets and closet organizing in general. Some have even gone to the extent of inviting me over to their house or apartment whenever they have some closet systems to install. Well, I consider myself plain lucky to have those kinds of people around me.
What I Have Learned
Being organized and staying organized should be one of the important presuppositions in our lives. While many individuals and home makers recognize the benefits that can be had with an organized lifestyle, there are many that just do not know how to do it or do not know where to start, and thus end up not doing it at all.
One good way of learning the skills of organization is to start at home, more particularly with your closets. Closet organization is just so easy to accomplish with consistency because of many useful organization aids such as the closet organizer or the various closet accessories that help you deal with all sorts of closet clutter. Of course, you wouldn’t really need any of such aids to be organized at home, but certainly, these aids can bring forth tremendous help in making things easy and convenient to accomplish. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, you can then use those, coupled with your creativity, into other sections of your home and your life as well.
The Birth of Closet Organizer Showroom
I started Closet Organizer Showroom to be my personal site as well as to serve as an outlet for my ramblings pertaining to my experiences with closets and other closet organizational skills and ideas that I have learned from my experience. One thing to note though is that my long experience with closet organizers and other closet storage systems and accessories have mostly been only with the economy and mid-range classes. There are a few high-end class closet systems that I’ve had some experiences with courtesy of my close relatives who gave me a heads up as they made the ordered one.
There are quite a good number of closet organizer systems that I thought would be a good buy, but ended up disappointing myself, my close friends and relatives. But looking at the brighter side, those served as a good learning experience for us.
As you sift through my site, I hope you can find the answer you are looking for and further hope that my site has provided you with good quality information that might help you out in one way or another. Quite frankly, I’m a horrible writer. Sometimes what I’ve written isn’t what I have in my thoughts. But I’m really trying to improve on that area. Currently, I am reading “Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing”. I’m not sure if this would be the right book for me, but I’m practicing almost on a day-to-day basis hoping to improve my writing. I usually do some draft writing after I’m done attending to the kids’ needs as well as that of my husband’s.
That said, I must admit that I have some shortcomings and would gladly be open to some suggestions and criticisms to help this site get better and better. My plan for this site is to make it an active site and be among the trustworthy resources relative to closet storage and closet organization ideas.
Thanks for taking the time visiting my site. I hope to see you around again. If you need to ask something, offer some suggestions to improve the site, criticize something, correct any errors that I may have overlooked, contribute some useful closet organization tips and ideas, or share your personal experiences and reviews with a particular closet system, you can always send me an email at this email address and I’ll get back to you in the shortest possible time.
Love lots,
Lani McMarsh
